Stairlifts

When climbing your stairs becomes a problem, a stairlift can then be a practical and sensible alternative to having expensive home alterations. It will let you stay in your own home, and fitting can be done with minor disruption to the household.

There are two basic types of stairlift - straight and curved, and a whole host of options that can be available on both.

A straight lift will fit most standard staircases without any bends and can be made to fit some staircases that have a few steps at an angle to the main staircase. Some can also be fitted outdoors.

A curved or round the corner lift is required where a straight lift can not be fitted. They are made to measure for each individual staircase.

Some staircases can be very difficult or sometimes impossible to fit a stairlift to, these can include very steep or narrow stairs, or those with a low bulkhead in the stairway. All staircases need to be assessed on an individual basis.
