The Minivator 1000 is a straight stairlift: it can be used on a straight staircase where the stairlift is not required to travel around a corner.
The stairlift runs on a slimline track which hugs the edge of the staircase. The track is fixed to the stairs and it leaves plenty of room on the staircase for other users.
The track comes with two charging points, top and bottom, when not in use the stairlift should be left on one of these points. These points are generally located where the stairlift stops.
If circumstances require an alternative parking position, if a hinge track is used for example, the park position is easily located by using the park button on the remote control. Parking on the
charge point keeps the battery topped up so your stairlift will continue to work in the event of a power failure.
Slimline design is a concept that extends to the Stairlift itself, the stairlift can be folded up meaning minimum storage space is needed when the stairlift is not in use. The addition of a
powered footplate makes folding the unit up even easier for users who may have trouble bending.
When it comes to using the Minivator 1000 its very straight forward. The stairlift is protected by a key switch, once switched on the toggle control is simple held in the direction of travel.
On arrival at the top of the stairs the seat is turned to face the landing so that you can get on and off your stairlift with ease. If preferred you have the option to add a powered swivel to make
turning the seat even easier.
The Minivator 1000 is available in two types of seat and a choice of colours. Sand, Jade, Ruby, Slate, Sapphire and Cocoa. The operating control can be placed on either arm.
In the event that your staircase has a 90° corner landing at the top with a couple of steps to the final landing it may be possible to fit a platform system. These systems work in conjunction with
the stairlift: once the stairlift has reached the end of its travel the platform is lowered and forms a bridge between the stairlift and the landing. This means that the user can dismount the stairlift
and walk directly onto the landing. The system works in reverse when the stairlift is used to travel downstairs.
For staircases with doorways close to the top or bottom or the stairs there is the option of a hinged track to keep the doorway clear when the lift is not in use.
