backrest reclined
In folded position
A folding chair manufactured by Allwin around early to mid 1930’s as
far as I can find out. Model appears to be an Allwin Ensign.
At some point this chair was part of the Perthshire branch of the Red
Cross.
Acquired in a condition that needed some restoration.
This chair will fold flat for transportation, has a partly reclining backrest,
swing away armrests for side transfers etc, solid tyres and a one
handed or foot operated brake, all things that are still desired on
today’s chairs.
