This is an Everest & Jennings electric scooter from the early 1980’s, one the
early popular scooters to arrive in Britain.
It is a 3 wheeled, front wheel drive machine, with a simple 2 forward and 1
reverse speed control. The seat is height adjustable (like an office chair) and
has armrests that tip back out of the way.
there are still a number of these machines in regular use today.

This machine was kindly
donated to me by a
customer (who was glad
to get his shed back).
it was in fairly good
condition and did not
take too much work to
restore to it’s current
condition.
The machine is in a running condition and goes as well as they ever did.
It has the usual old electric motor power whine and seems very sluggish
compared to a more modern machine.
The steering feels very heavy, probably because the handlebars are very
short and upright, this with the weight
of the motor to turn as well does make it a
bit of an arm muscle builder.
a little dirty but all complete
in cleaned condition looking as good as new
useable but starting to look dated in style
In “as found” condition
